ABOUT DYLAN
Passionate About Ski Racing
At nearly two years old, I received my first pair of skis. With my parents by my side, we went to a slope in North Vancouver, BC, for my very first ski experience. From that moment, my passion for skiing was ignited, and I’ve been eager to hit the slopes ever since.
"Dylan’s biggest strength as an athlete is his desire to be a high-level skier and his willingness to put in focused work towards this. Skiing on his own, tuning into his body, getting clear in his mind, allows his energy to be efficient in training. He’s switched on, willing to help, not afraid to stand out and do the right thing. Dylan is open to learning and receptive to feedback. He is enjoyable to coach and an asset to our team."

and former World Cup ski racer with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team
ACHIEVEMENTS
"It is amazing how Dylan managed to juggle a difficult schedule as he was training for skiing and still managed to work so hard on his physics. His success in grade 12 doesn't only reflect an ability for the material, but great maturity and focus. It has been a real pleasure seeing Dylan grow from when I had him in grade 8 science. He has been a real pleasure to teach over the years, and I wish him the very best in all his future endeavours."

Family Legacy
I am the third generation of ski racers in my family. My grandfather, Bill, was on the Canadian National Ski Team in the 1950s and competed in the World Championships in Europe. My uncle, Don, competed for Canada in the World Cup and the 1988 Olympics. My dad, Ken (and Don), raced with the Red Mountain Racers and later raced for the UBC Ski Team while studying Engineering.

I began my racing journey with the NGSL at Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club at a young age. Each season ended with the Nancy Greene Ski Festival in Sun Peaks (U8 to U12), where athletes from across British Columbia gathered. I showcased my skills in five events: Speed, Jump, Kombi, Moguls, and Slalom. From 2011 to 2015, I participated in the festival and consistently claimed the top spot on the podium, fueling my passion for ski racing.
